A basic premise of Mexican presidentialism is the concentration of economic decisions in the hands of the president himself. This article analyzes three elements that were relevant in the construction of the economics of the postrevolutionary regime, where the executive power had a central role: the introduction of income tax, the construction of a new banking system, & the monetary reform of 1931. 2 Tables, 17 References.
